"2000 Durable CDCs Conference"

This paper reports on the proceedings of a conference held on February 28, 2000, attended by 75 individuals representing an array of California's community development corporations (CDCs), small and large, nascent and mature.  Sponsored by LISC, the conference examined three real life case studies of CDCs confronting serious challenges to their ability to survive and continue delivering programs and services to their communities.  The case study method enabled us to ask questions, compare experiences, distill learnings, and identify issues that warrant further study.
